The KABA Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 2007 to provide legal, educational and related services to the Korean American and other communities in the greater Los Angeles area. One of the KABA Foundation’s main activities is our monthly free legal clinics for the Korean American community in partnership with the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles, Asian Americans Advancing Justice – Los Angeles and the Koreatown Youth & Community Center. Volunteer attorneys, with assistance from students and other individuals, provide free legal assistance to monolingual and limited-English proficient Korean community members facing various legal issues, such as domestic violence, family law, eviction, foreclosure, small business disputes and immigration.
Due to the restrictions necessitated by the COVID-19 pandemic, our in-person monthly pro bono clinics have been temporarily suspended.
If you are interested in volunteering for the pro bono legal clinics in the future, please contact foundation@kabasocal.org. Over the years, hundreds of KABA volunteers have helped thousands of individuals through our pro bono clinics, which have become an important cornerstone of the KABA Foundation’s mission and work in the community.
