Empowering Asian Pacific American Women Andaz San Diego September 23-25, 2022 The California Asian Pacific American Bar Association (Cal-APABA) and its Sister Bar Affiliates are thrilled to welcome you to San Diego for Cal-APABA's first annual California conference. Please join us and enjoy the energy, food, and connection in sunny San Diego. The conference will be held at the Andaz San Diego, where you'll enjoy beautiful vistas of the city. The conference theme is "Empowering Asian Pacific American Women." Over the past two years, the pandemic has rocked the APA community with the rise in anti-Asian hate. The rise in anti-Asian hate has been accompanied with economic hardship and a mental health crisis. APA women have been targeted disproportionately by violence as shown by the shootings at the spas in Atlanta. As APA lawyers, we are uniquely positioned to bring these issues to the attention of the executive, legislative and judicial branches, as well as the broader public. Cal-APABA's conference will address how to restructure the legal workplace to better support APA women, wellness strategies and techniques, how to be a better ally to APA women attorneys, overcoming barriers to advancement as an APA woman lawyer, and coping with anti-APA hate. Please register HERE. Early bird registration expires on August 22, 2022 at 6:00 pm PT.
