In honor of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Los Angeles (APABA), the Asian Pacific American Women Lawyers Alliance (APAWLA), the Loyola Immigration Justice Clinic, and a number of bar associations present a panel and reception to discuss the future of DACA and its impact on APA communities.
Last October, the Fifth Circuit ruled the DACA program violates the Administrative Procedure Act. We invite members of the legal community to come learn about the state of DACA following the Fifth Circuit's decision, the experiences of AAPI DACA recipients and the Opportunity for All campaign, a California-wide organizing effort led by undocumented student organizers to press the UC system to remove barriers to employment that negatively impact undocumented students.
This event is certified for 1.0 general participatory MCLE credit. APABA is a California State Bar approved MCLE provider.
