KABA invites you to join in an MCLE Presentation
Cross-Border Investment and Estate Planning: Key Updates on Navigating U.S.-Korea Tax, Trust, and Asset Protection Strategies

As a follow up to last year's presentation, this panel will continue to explore the complexities, tax considerations, and asset protection strategies in cross-border investment between the United States and Korea, including recent legislative and regulatory developments affecting both jurisdictions, particularly legal updates on the Korean side - including foreign trust reporting obligations under the Act for the Coordination of International Tax Affairs and Korea's departure tax — alongside the application of the U.S. portfolio interest exemption in cross-border lending structures.

This legal update will be valuable for tax and estate planning professionals and the many individuals and families who manage assets across U.S. - Korea borders and need to integrate both U.S. and Korean legal regimes.
