KABA members are invited to participate in KABA’s Mentorship Family Program! This program is designed to connect law students and junior attorneys with more senior attorneys by creating mentorship “families” consisting of mentors and mentees.

The program is intended to:

1. Foster relationships among KABA law students and more experienced attorneys, providing mentee law students with a variety of perspectives on law school, the bar exam, and the practice of law; and
2. Foster relationships among more experienced attorneys and entry level attorneys who may be new to a particular practice area or who are navigating the first few years of their legal career.

 Program Overview:

• The mentorship commitment is for the 2026-2027 academic year.

• All participants must be current KABA members. Membership for law students is free.

• Mentorship families will be matched based on practice area and/or preferred geographic area to the extent possible. Mentors within the families will include government attorneys, law firm partners, solo practitioners, public interest lawyers, and in-house counsel. 

• Families are encouraged to attend KABA events together, including our Mentorship Family Meetup where we will kick off this year’s program and you can meet with your new mentorship family. More details will be announced soon.

If you are interested in signing up as a mentor or mentee, please fill out your application HERE.  Please submit your application by Friday, September 18, 2026.

Mentorship families will be announced in the following week around September 25, 2026, prior to the Mentorship Family Meetup.
